What does a personal stylist do?
A personal stylist helps you define and refine your unique style so your wardrobe truly reflects who you are and fits your lifestyle. They work closely with you to understand your preferences, body shape, and daily needs, making getting dressed easier and more enjoyable. From wardrobe edits and colour analysis to personal shopping and outfit planning, a stylist guides you to build a cohesive, confident wardrobe that feels authentic to you.
What’s the difference between a wardrobe edit and personal shopping?
A wardrobe edit focuses on what you already own.
As a personal stylist, I review and edit your existing wardrobe to identify what truly works, what doesn’t, and what’s missing. From there, I build 30+ complete outfits using your current clothes and create a Ready-to-Wear LookBook, so getting dressed becomes effortless and stress-free.
The goal is to maximise your wardrobe’s potential, reduce decision fatigue, and help you actually wear what you already have.
Personal shopping, on the other hand, is about adding new pieces, but only with intention.
Once your wardrobe foundations are clear, I source new items tailored to your lifestyle, body architecture, and personal style. Every purchase fills a real gap, integrates seamlessly with what you own, and elevates your overall look without unnecessary spending.
Most clients start with a wardrobe edit – because when your wardrobe works, shopping becomes optional, not overwhelming.
What sort of clients do you work with?
I work exclusively with women – from busy professionals and founders to creatives and women navigating a new chapter of life. My clients are often high-achieving, time-poor, and ready to feel more confident and intentional in how they show up.
They value personalised, strategic styling that works with their real lifestyle, not trends for trends’ sake. Whether they’re refining their everyday wardrobe, stepping into a new role, or preparing for a special event, they want clarity, ease, and self-expression – not more clothes.
Most of the women I work with are looking for a wardrobe that feels aligned, effortless, and reflective of who they are now – and who they’re becoming.
I was very nervous ahead of my first speaking gig in 2025 and had no idea what to wear.
She advised me against the outfit I was leaning toward, and I’m so glad she did. The one she recommended worked perfectly. It matched my brand colours, felt right for the upcoming season, and gave me that polished yet confident look I needed on stage.
Carolina didn’t just stop at the outfit, she guided me on jewellery, shoes, and even spotted that I was missing a belt, which we added last minute. That attention to detail made all the difference.
The fact that I felt confident in what I was wearing helped me deliver my presentation with energy and ease.
About Carolina
Who is Carolina Marsoli?
I’m a London-based personal stylist and the founder of Monaco Meraki, a style consultancy I launched over five years ago. Since then, I’ve styled 146+ women worldwide, helping them build confident, intentional wardrobes using what they already own.
My work focuses on strategic, wardrobe-first styling – creating clarity, ease, and self-expression rather than chasing trends. I work primarily with women who want their wardrobe to support their lifestyle, ambition, and sense of identity.
I’m also a mother of two, which strongly shapes how I approach style: practical, realistic, and designed for real mornings, real schedules, and real lives – without sacrificing elegance or personal expression.
What’s your background in styling?
My background is rooted in both fashion and real-life application. I’ve worked with established brands such as Rixo and John Lewis, and I’ve hosted styling workshops for organisations including the BBC.
Over the past five years, I’ve refined a methodology that goes beyond shopping and trends. My approach combines lifestyle analysis, body architecture, outfit building, and colour psychology to help women understand how to dress – not just what to buy.
This experience has allowed me to style women across different countries, lifestyles, and life stages, always with the same goal: to create wardrobes that feel aligned, effortless, and deeply personal
What makes your approach different from other stylists?
I don’t start with shopping – I start with your wardrobe.
My approach is strategic and wardrobe-first. Instead of following trends or pushing constant purchases, I work with what you already own to create structure, clarity, and confidence. From your existing clothes, I build 30+ complete outfits and deliver them in a digital Ready-to-Wear LookBook, so you can see exactly how to dress – day to day – without overthinking.
This means no guessing, no “I have nothing to wear” moments, and no reliance on memory or mood. You open your LookBook and your outfits are already there.
Every recommendation I make is grounded in your lifestyle, body architecture, and how you want to show up in the world. Shopping, when needed, is intentional and fills real gaps – not trend-driven noise.
The result is a wardrobe that feels effortless, expressive, and sustainable – and a style you actually know how to use.
Do you earn commission from brands?
No, I don’t. As an independent Style Consultant, my advice is always impartial, and you’re never under any obligation to purchase the items I suggest.
Process & Methodology
What is the Wardrobe Architect Method?
My Wardrobe Architect Method is a strategic approach that helps you declutter and detox your closet, build confidence in your style choices, and use colour and silhouette thoughtfully to align your wardrobe with your personal and professional goals.
How do you create a LookBook?
I curate styled outfits by combining pieces from your existing wardrobe with carefully selected new items if desired. These outfits are then compiled into a digital LookBook, making it easy for you to mix and match and feel inspired every day.
Do I need to buy new clothes?
Not necessarily. My focus is on reimagining and maximising the potential of your current wardrobe. However, if new pieces are needed to complete your look, I’ll guide you on thoughtful, strategic additions.
Do you offer plus-size styling advice?
Absolutely, I celebrate all body types. My approach is personalised to highlight your best features and create flattering, comfortable outfits that suit your lifestyle.
Do you offer colour analysis?
I work with colour as part of my styling process, but I don’t offer traditional seasonal colour analysis as a standalone service.
Instead, my approach focuses on colour psychology and intentional use of colour – helping you understand:
- The meaning and message behind the colours you naturally choose
- How colour can boost confidence, energy, and identity
- Simple ways to mix and match accent colours for a versatile wardrobe
- Using colour to create the right mood – whether that’s presence, calm, or action
This is all integrated into my Wardrobe Edit and outfit creation sessions, where colour becomes a powerful tool for transformation rather than just an add-on.
